July 500M Fly Shoot

Please pardon my ignorance, but what is a Fly Shoot? Is it just a clever name for a BR competition? Thanks-
The Fly Shoot is a competition that originated in Australia. They have been holding fly matches over there for a long time. The traditional match is shot at 500 meters. The Aussies are very good at this game. We Texans have only been shooting it for a year or two. Thanks to Mike Cockcroft at Huntsville, we get to shoot the fly matches there and enjoy some postal match competition with various Aussie clubs holding matches on close to the same day. Much bragging and evil threatening goes on and everyone has a great time whether they win or not.
You can go here and learn all there is to know about the matches. The Australians are a good bunch of guys for sure.

Sounds like a great weekend.
Looking forward to our July 20th Aussie beat down. If I read the results correctly from the last postal match, Texas took all top ten places?

Best of luck for your July Shoot. You might want to bring your "A Game" if you are going to "beat down" the scores from the last Aussie shoot. Something like 40 scores of 250 and above for Light & Heavy Gun. Some nice small groups shot in both classes as well.
