5 hours….500 rounds of 9mm.

That makes it even better , damn I need to go hit some gun stores or pawn shops.... Except for the Tikka I end up spending hours and more money trying to get my new rifles to shoot good and I am not even shocked anymore when I have to do something the factory should have done or upgrade a part that's total garbage brand new... I am doing this all wrong... Think I will start skipping a range day every week and go look around and see what I kind find...

Ohhhh ok I thought maybe there was something that had happened in the past like a serious overcharge.... Absolutely nothing wrong with being careful when reloading , when I load on my Dillon I use a powder that would be overflowing if it doubled but I still take the time to look at every station on my 550 before pulling that handle.... As I mentioned when load for my 10mm I use blue dot and load pretty warm not really a hot load but a full power load... What is the sense in having 10mm and loading it down to 40 cal.... But I ended up buying the single charge die with the little funnel kit from Dillon plus a charge master because I found a discrepancy of 4 tenths with blue dot and that could get you in serious trouble when loading full power loads... Yes it cost me a lot more going that way instead of using scoops and the trickle up method but to me it's a nice and easy setup...

After awhile I got where just watching the charge master I could tell if it was a bad throw which I was surprised there was not to many... Plus I get to use it when loading stick powders etc... Hey you can never be to careful when reloading... I also reload shotshells on a MEC 9000 and you kinda have to trust it to really get the speed but I still end up with a little flashlight peeking in the hull occasionally checking on the powder level... I am a firm believer in checking everything that you can ever time working up a new load etc...

Have a great day
Shawn...
its a good idea to use a powder that will overflow the case on a double charge when using a progressive but that doesnt let you know when one didnt charge at all. if im loading something thats near max i would remove the cases and put them in a block , then load them with a scale probably then look at the charges and then seat the bullet. the way youre doing it is ok and shoulld keep you safe——KH

One thing i really miss where i live now is a good gun shop close by with a good used gun section that rotates often so i could look em over at least once a week.

nice how the sport fills different goals for different folks. I could never sit and single load 9mm. 500 rnds is an afternoon of drills and about 45min at a relaxed pace on the 750. One of the guys I shoot with loads like you, one at a time. Many thousands of rounds thru my machine and I've never had a charge throwing problem. I don't use a powder check. I usually do a spot check once per session but not always.

Nice! 10mm is next on my list, thanks to your heads up on the brass! I have some suggestions for books!
Sci-fi- try the “Breakthrough “ series by Michael Grumley. Scientists learn to speak to dolphins, evil doers try to steal the technology, space warping aliens step in to help. Pretty good!
Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. High school biology teacher helps save the earth from sun eating bacteria, meets alien race along the way to a distant galaxy to find the answer.
Historical England detective series by Ann Perry. The Charlotte and a Thomas Pitt series.
Well written, historically correct and a great reader!
Action/ military- The Terminal list series. Navy Seal takes revenge on politicians and crooked generals testing experimental drugs on fellow Seals.
I have an old FN Highpower coming in. Always wanted one. Can’t wait!
Can't help on the reloading but if you enjoyed Andy Weir, great choice by the way, The red rising trilogy by Pierce Brown is good but it's LONG.

I'm jealous! Your chair looks way more comfortable than mine.
That chair is an inside family joke. I drive my wife crazy by buying my reloading chairs used at the thrift stores. Usually $20. She threw a fit over my last one. (It wasn’t that bad.) She “ordered” me to go buy a new one! Well……I got the nicest one they had! ;)
Figured I was due! She couldn’t say a word when she saw the bill! Well worth it to watch her fume and sputter!
