452 custom barrel action

Lee, they worked great, but it was a pain getting the bolt out. I sent a couple triggers and prints to a smith in Oz. I haven't followed up on them. I may have a few that have not been completed.
Butch, I think you're going be getting some messages about the trigger.

Butch, you should start making them again. there would be a big demand from ARA factory shooters. of course you would probably have to give up shooting with all the orders you would get!

Not to derail the OP's thread but I know I would certainly be in the market for one or two. That is the main reason I posted earlier that I would not try and build a unlimited on a CZ action. The aftermarket triggers available are mediocre at best along with the BR stock selection. I have a Rifle Basix on my American and a Timney on the Lux. If I wanted a unlimited gun on a tight budget I would start with a Annie 54 action just for the trigger and stock selection. Just my two cents worth

Jim,
There is another trigger called the SCAR? but wait time is several months. on budget BR builds here is one that I did what I paid for the basic rifle was less than half what a match 54 would cost. like the CZ, the trigger is less than desirable but can be reworked, the one on this rifle breaks just under 2-oz.
rifle is a H&R M12

I have heard of the SCAR trigger but have no actual experience with one. You can do a search over at RImfire Central on the CZ subforum and will probably find several threads there on them.

Saving money on a action is good but you can find used 54's on auction sites for less than $1K with a suitable trigger, a more suitable stock, and a smoother bolt. Don't get me wrong my 452's shoot great in factory class, I have no plans on replacing them but neither do I plan on trying to put them up against 2500's or Turbos

I just got a John Langley trigger for a 452. It’s a 2 oz. single stage. He used to sell a lot of them as well. He also sold a lot to Oz, but had issues with red tape. It has a lever you pull to remove the bolt. I am looking for a BR action currently to have Mr. Langley put together a UL gun for me while he’s still willing to do it. 16784DB1-EB1C-45FA-98F8-9E6CBF97197C.jpeg
