At one point in the mid 70's Mike Walker built me a 40xbr in 6x47(222m) with a 20 inch bbl and the barrel epoxy bedded fully with the action free floated, he bought it to me at Fasset Pa for a match, sporter or lv class 10.5 " rifle. it has a Remington 20x experimental scope mounted on the action.
the action moved minutely if the trigger was not perfectly pulled to the rear 100%
needless to say as the action moved the scope moved and I had a nightmare getting use to the gun/trigger -- after the match I asked Mike to take it back, bed the action and free float the bbl in the normal 40x fashion. He did and the rifle shot in the .100's
foolishly a friend talked me out of it years later and I regret selling it to this day.
