The E-Z button would be a straight forward 22-243 in a fast twist tube. When I was shooting a non-AI version, I simply ran Lapua 243 cases into a FL 22-243 die and went shooting. But, you won't get to 3,600+ with a heavy bullet. IIRC, I was getting around 3,400 ft/sec with a Berger 80gr bullet in my 22-243 (plain).

I might add that I had surprisingly good barrel life with my 22-243AI. I put 1,000 rounds through the barrel before it was set back and rechambered to 22-243 (plain). It shot almost as good as new again.

I'd say you could easily get 3600 with a 22-243AI with an 80 grain bullet. My 22-250AI gets 3500 with 80 Amax bullets. It's not a hot load either. The 243 AI case has more case capacity. Not saying it would be the most accurate load but my 3550 fps load IS my most accurate in that rifle.

I have a 6,5 x 55 throwing 80 grain Bergers, It is a TRUE 1000 yard groundhog stick with a satisfying WHOCK returning, It is on a Tooley MBR stock and wears a NIghtforce 12 x 42. It is a switch barrel and throws a 105 grain 6 mm out of a 7,5 x 55 case,

FWIW, I shoot 6mm Creedmoor, 6x47 Lapua and 6mm GT. I use the 108 Hornady in these for long range between 3000 to 3100 fps. Bat actions, ST 1000 McMillan stocks, muzzle brakes, 28-30 inch long 1.25 barrels. 8x32 or 12-42 scopes. I work pretty hard to get these to be 1/4 moa rifles consistently. SRP brass. H4350. Federal 205M or sometimes CCI SRM 450's

I had built a 300 weatherby mag for this but even with a 20 pound rifle and a big muzzle brake, there was too much recoil to see hits. Bigger bullets give a better dust signature to make it easier to correct, but this did not work that well for me. Fun to shoot though.

Longest prairie dog to date has been 1200+ yards with the 6mm rifles
