350 Legend Hornady Ammo Problems

Still working on communication with Hornady.
Tell them to reference this post from another site that appears to be using same HDY factory load with the 170 interlock.

QUOTE:
"Factory loads were fired to document velocities recording from my 21 Inch barrel (I cut the threaded portion off my 22 inch barrel off and re-crowned):
-Win 180PP published 2100fps – actual 2064fps
-Hornady 170 IL published 2200fps – actual 2341fps!
-Federal 180 published 2200fps – actual 2200fps

Seems Winchester is underloading their factory stuff and the Hornady loads seems HOT."

I had some Norma brass for 6xc that showed all the high pressure signs at start load. It ended up being the brass itself. This only has any relevance to your issue in that the brass itself could just be soft. They are running the machines hard, and the QC guy is out with covid

Update:
Chamber on this rifle was checked with a go gauge (1.710") and .001" shims.
Checked out perfectly within minimum headspace specs.

Would like to chronograph some of this ammo, but am all done firing proof+ loads.
A big hand to what has proven to be a very strong 3 lug bolt system on the Winchester XTR.

The 350 Legend chamber pressure operates at 50,000 psi plus at the high end. I loaded for a friend Some 350 L with H-110 and Hornady 170 gr. and Starline cases fired from a AR. I used 25.0 gr of gunpowder which is 1.7 gr under Hodgdon’s listed max. The chamber pressure should be in 45,000 psi range. Primers didn’t flatten or crater and were tight in the primer pocket.
