I give her a good scrubbing with a special brush !!!
Can you elaborate on the effects of the bushing on tune? This is good info Tom. It really gives a good visual for how a bushing effects poi stability. I dont think guys realize how much a bushing can widen a window of tune. Even though this is a .338, it plays out similar in every other case. Great stuff.
In my experience its similar to what a primer will do. If your have the wrong primer or bushing you can still find small groups but the the groups next to it get big in a hurry. With the right primer or bushing the out of tune groups stay much smaller. Can you elaborate on the effects of the bushing on tune?
Thanks
Nice, but 3 shot groups can be deceiving at 100 yards. Need to run it at long range with a ladder before making any conclusions.Went and tested N565 in my 338 NMI. Shoots very good.
Thanks. It’s hard shooting long distance where I live. I get them close at 100. Take to 300. Then 1k when I meet up with Alex and Tom at DC.
Without side railing the thread to much. I have only got into trouble with load development with i get fluke great groups. Shooting increasing powder charges at horizontal dots either at 300 or 100 shows me where the POI remains constant over powder increase. I know it won't be the absolute best at 1000. But it will be close.
Lonnie did have some great success with the ABLR this year
Alex, i read somewhere in this thread that there is am off the shelf dies for the .338 norma improved round. Where do I find that. I am currently building .338 norma improved and dont know what to do about dies. any help would be appreciated!Looking real good. I just chambered another 300 Norma imp for myself today. 245s and N570 is shooting well for Hovee at 3000 fps, so I may have to try them. I am surprised to see those 285 Hornadys shoot that small though.
