30BR powder dilemma

I have a 30Br coming to me soon.
I am starting with 115 Bergers.
I have none of the popular powders for 30BR. Prospects for finding anything looks grim.
I do have some Sta-Ball, Varget, AA2520, 8208, SW4350 and a smattering of a H414 and Lil Gun.
Has anyone tried any of these successfully?

H-4198 is a great one to try if you can find it. Accurate LT-30 & LT-32 are others that work well along with VV-N130.

You may want to put in an order with Bart's Bullets for his 112 gr. Match bullets. They shoot lights out for sure. He can be found here on the forum.

you did not mention it but bench mark works really well in my 30 br . in my area it seems easy to come by . 118 hill billy bullets you don't get the velosity you do with 4198 but the accuracy is there .

This from the Sierra Reloading Manual,Although it is for a 125 GR. Bullet, you can adjust as needed.
At least they list the aa2520- Powder for you.
PS. Be careful as AA2525 in 1 lb containers has a limited recall,Check their web site.
GOOD LUCK

The most popular 30 BR powders arn't even listed here - H4198 and LT130.
I would wonder why ?

I bought a 30BR used, and it came to me with load info
using H4198. It was the most accuracy consistent rifle
I had ever owned. I didn't keep it long, because I didn't
like the recoil when shooting it free recoil. At the time,
it seemed that H4198 was the go to powder for the caliber.

Here is some excellent reading. At this time I am using H4198 in my 30BR.

With the LT-32 half way up the neck, I am getting 2825ish fps with Berger 115s.
If you're shooting an IBS legal rifle with a short barrel 2,850 is about typical according to Randy Robinette. In my local clubs with more liberal weights and a 26" barrel I was getting around 3,160 fps with as much H-4198 as I could stuff in the case. Powder almost right to the case mouth dropped slowly with a long tube and a lot of neck tension, like 0.005", to keep the powder from pushing the bullet back out. You get used to the crunching after a while. But the thing would really shoot.

Per Al Nyhus even H-4198 is a bit on the slow side but the 30BR doesn't seem to be all that fussy. I tried IMR 4198 and the rifle was just as accurate but I gave up about 150 fps because the powder isn't as dense as the Hodgdon version.

I also shot Norma 200 for one season. Again, just as accurate but with a little velocity loss. It still shot way better than I ever could.
