Mine coincidentally is a 10th anniversary also and shoots great. Too bad Remington factory is making poor products.

I guess a guy needs to go thru the “process” for a few years before they come to appreciate the Tikkas. I had a couple customs before I held and looked over my first Tikka. I remember it well. Smoothest bolt movement I’d ever felt, side bolt release, nice trigger. I was sold. Turned out to be very accurate, too! I had to have more. The last factory Remington I bought felt like it had sand in the action when I worked the bolt. It was one of those cheap Walmart specials, tho. I gave it to a kid just getting started, after a little work, of course.

I shoot F-Class 1k competitively and I am going to give you different advice.
Everyone wants a rifle that will do everything. There is no such thing. Rifles good for hunting come with a pencil barrel to save weight and stocks that are junk for shooting long range precision. DO NOT buy a remington 700 unless you want to spend money blueprinting the crappy action, replacing the floppy Hogue stock, and the changing out the gritty factory trigger. Plus, a 20" barrel in .308 is great for hunting buy too short for long range accuracy.
First, decide what you will most likely be using the rifle for. If it's for shooting long range, consider purchasing or building a proper long range rifle and don't go down the rabbit hole of trying to buy a budget rifle and slowly adding to it. A Volkswagen is never going to be a Ferrari no matter how much you spend on it.
Consider a Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor. This rifle was designed by Ruger to be a relatively inexpensive way to dip your toe into long range shooting. It won't win 1k yard matches against custom $10k F-Class rifles, but it is every bit capable of winning 600 yard matches right off the shelf. I suggest 6.5 Creedmoor over some of the other calibers because it has both good ballistic characteristics and will have no problem shooting out to 1k yards if that's what you like. In addition, there is plenty of good match ammo available until you start reloading and the barrel life is also very good.
You can find them for between $1400-$1600 bucks. That may be more that you want to spend initially but you will go right past that quickly if you want to get some of the other rifles you listed shooting half as good.

I have a Ruger m77 Hawkeye LRT in 6.5PRC. Very accurate, no issues with fit or finish, and it loads well from the magazine. I bedded my action and installed an EC Tuner Brake.

A Tikka is great off the shelf.
Now, I do my own work, have a mill and a lathe, know how to bed stocks.
Soon I'll be tearing a stock Rem 700 down and truing it simply because I actually enjoy working on guns more than shooting them. The only thing I was after was the action.

A Kydex Cheek Riser ( Easily Made at Home ), an after Mkt Trigger Spring ( I use Elay Precision For, LR Target ) set at , a CRISP, still Light, 1.25 pounds, Then "Tuned" for 130 or, 140 grain, ELD-M's W/ StaBall 65 or H-4350 and then ADD, a Good Brake to,.. TAME it, All ! ( Another, $350. ish ). Easily, a Sub 1/2 MOA Rifle / Load,..

Rem 700's are, FINE,.. IF you Have Lots of Excess Dollars to waste and can use, the Bolt in,.. SLO- MO,.. MODE !

Best bang for the buck IMO (since you’re on a budget).
Good trigger that can be made better with an easy mod. Barrel is threaded so you can easily add a brake if you wish (just for kicks I ordered a brake off eBay for under $25 and for the price I was impressed). The MDT Oryx is a good solid stock that’s adjustable so you can set it up to fit you. A nice package for under $800 if you get the stuff on sale. Nothing wrong with 308 but 6.5 creed is a little easier on the shoulder if that matters to you.
As a Young western Hunter using, a .30-06 from, 15 y/o into, my Mid 20's,..
I "Skipped Over" the .308 Win. for the Faster / Flatter,.. 2, "Lazers" in, .270 Wby and later, the .270 WSM Tikka and,..
I Have NEVER,.. Regretted it ! ( Note; there Were NO, Range Finders, in My Day ! )
They Both Killed Game with 130's, 140's and 150 gr. Bullets, like,.. the "Hammer of, Thor" !
I now shoot, a 6.5 Creed T-3X, Tikka and to, 500-600 yards, It Will "Do", anything on, Big Game that, I,.. "Need" !
Just Range 'em and "Dial", a Few extra Clicks, on Scope !
AND,.. with, a Lot LESS Recoil, on the Shoulder !

Yes a Tikka or Ruger RPR. Both CHF hammer forged barrels that will last longer and still be plenty accurate. You will be shooting a lot to figure things out so why not have a barrel that will take the abuse.
