Agreed, not much torque needed at all to screw on a barrelI've done range switches between short- and long-range 6BR barrels. Not that big a deal with a shouldered barrel. I don't use massive torque when mounting though.
Not sure I'd do switches with nutted barrels though; headspace is too fiddly.

There’s a lot of enjoyment in piecing parts for a new build.Thank you all, after reading and contemplating your answers.... I am just going to build a new 308 rifle. I have gone done the road of buying a used rifle, then replacing everything except the action, it is easier for me to just start collecting parts and , or, call my gunsmith and send him a check and wait... and wait....and wait for the parts to arrive.
