300 wsm lr rig powder recommendations

Not True, It takes patience, planning, & diligence to get some powders, but they are available.
H-4350 & H-4831 are available intermittently, Alliant Reloder 23 is available intermittently, and a good amount of the V/V powders are available. - Sign-Up for Notifications from several web-sites & be willing to take action & quickly is what its going to take.
I was told that there wasn't any Reloder 26 or V/V N-570 to be had. - With a focused plan & some effort I not only found both but have both in my supplies.

Regards & Good Luck - Ron -
Well idk what im doing wrong. Atleast considering reloder 26. I got an email last night from natchez that reloder 26 was in stock. Email was at 10:41 pm. It was 10:51 when i saw it and went to the site to add 2 lbs to my cart because thats all they had left. I didnt even get to log in before they were gone. Im on the email list from every major online supplier and havent gotten a notification in over a yr. glad you are having luck but what else can I do? diligence and planning? Not sure i understand what you are saying here. I cant control the demand and supply. No local shops have it, already checked. I scoured the net looking.
Maybe some of the other powders are good but all i want to work with for now is reloder 23 and 26. I definitely can find 4350 and 4831 from time to time locally. I dont want intermittent availability lol this makes it hard to get.

Reloder 26 is too slow to use the the 300 WSM. - Reloder 23 is what you may want to try, (or H4350, or H4831 regular or SSC). - You may want to also try V/V N-160 or N165 with heavy bullets in the 300 WSM (I've heard reports by a few shooter/reloaders that they've had some success with these as well)

I'm NOT implying anything. - I'm recommending a "method to achieve desired results" which is to obtain the product(s) desired. - I know it isn't easy, and that I can be time consuming, takes patience, and even some luck. -

I had good luck with re22 but want more temp stable results so 23 would be the next thing i try. But to be honest i had a real nice hunting load with 26 in a elite hunter 180 grain. Approaching 3100 fps in a 24” tube and good accuracy at mag length. Nice flat 400-500 yard deal for deer and woodchuck. I was hoping it would work the same with 210’s. Re22 i have at 2800 with the 210’s at mag length loads, but gun is throated long for the 210/215’s. Curious if 26 could get me over 2800 with accuracy even if i had to seat long for single loaders. I know velocity aint everything but if i can get some it can help. I really should get a new barrel in the 28-30” range if i want to be more serious with longer range shoots. Thanks. I’ll keep looking and waiting.

I have a 32" barrel as do 3 of my friends. ALL 4 rifles are shooting 215s and all use RL-23 and all are between 64.0 and 64.7grs. All are shooting somewhere between 2885 and 2905. There has GOT to be something to RL-23 and the .300 WSM / 215's.. NOTE: these are all 32" barrels..

I get a lot of info from this site so I figure I should occasionally contribute.

My 300 WSM LR/BR light gun is very happy with 215 Bergers and 64.5 grains of RL-23. It gets just a little over 2900 fps from a 28" barrel with low extreme spreads. During tuning, four five shot groups at 200 yds averaged .3 MOA. Can't wait to see what this tune does at 1000 yds.

I ran RL26 in a WSM once
208 Amax coated in tungsten long throat and pushing the envelope 72 grains (10" drop tube) shooting 3125fps with a 30" barrel 11 twist
It shot well in cold weather didn't try it in the hotter weather
