300 Winchester Magnum

For those of you using RL-26, have you found that when working up a load, depending on your conditions, that pressure is Ok and then it isn't, quickly? I get about 100fps more with RL-26 over H-1000, running 210VLD's. Your mileage may vary, but be careful working up to max loads.

Any new load or performance data/results on this subject?
Recently loaded up some 100 rounds for a friend in new Hornady brass and CCI 250 mag primers and the 200 ELDX's @ .013" off the lands in a Rem. Factory 700 SS engraved action with a 26" sporter barell (breaked) along with 66 grains of H4350 which = < 1/2 moa. 3 shot group worked down from 68 + grains. Velocity was 2790 FPS.
Also shot some 220 SMK's today with my Ruger LRT. Federal 08 brass , 215 M M
primers and 77.2 grains of H 1000 @ .010 off. I was looking for velocity results
more than accuracy and to my surprise they Chrono graphed @ 3115 FPS +/-.
Primers were flat. I had two more loads with more powder to try but figured this was enough and didn't shoot them. In this Brass 78 grains of H 1000 with the 220 SMK's barely stayed put when seated, as the case was absolutely full, very compressed.
These in a 300 Winchester Mag.
