300 Savage: loads for 150 GR bullets

I rescued a 99EG at a gun show lately. The gun shoots the Federal 150 ammo decently enough and I would like to reload something similiar. I pulled apart one of the Federal shells and it contains 42.5 grains of some kind of shiny ball powder. This ammo is good stuff, burns cleanly and completely. I want to use a 150 Hornady Spire Point IB, a Sierra 150 FB Spitzer or a Speer 150 Mag-Tip. I've seen some reference for Varget loads that look promising. Any suggestions. I prefer using H335, BL-C2 and H414 but if you have a favourite let me know. I don't have the latest Speer or Sierra manuals, does anyone have a pdf of the 300 savage data.

IMR4064,42.5grains and this is 1.5 grains under the top load.Start lower and work up.Does your gun have a checkered heavier walnut forend? I have one and it shoots outstanding. These are one of the most accurate lever actions and they are a stout action usually with a decent trigger.Pm me with your rifles specs.I love these rifles and always trying to learn more about them.

i PM'd you, the trigger pull is OK, the creep not as much, close to what you'd expect from a shotgun, still better than most other lever guns.
