Does the seating stem on the rcbs work good with the 245 berger? Or do you have to grab a different one?
Been testing new loads for my 300 norma improved and decided to try some loads at .100 off just to see because I seen where guys were saying better results and more consistent ect.
Berger 245 lrht .100 off
N568 86 grains
5 shot group
Correction they are .130 total off I took .100 off from my .030 number which that's where I usually run my 245s
I only do elr comps with this

That's pretty impressive. I've been at 87 grains with 245 so about right.
I attempted to look thru and find what everyone is trimming their brass to? Standard 300 Norma length I’m assuming. Just got done fire forming brass and want sure I get it right

.ax is 2.502 I think on reamer print I have decided to keep mine 2.480 give or take a few thousand
I run 89.5 N568 under a 245 LRTH / 26 in barrel / just over 2900 fps. Averages .0036 throat death per 100 rounds.
That's really good. I've been running 87 grains 2925 avg in 30inch. Me and a few others have been running 87 and all of us seen pressure at 89 grains. The throat seems really good I like n568 for barrel life what are you guessing your going to get for barrel life?
I don't know yet. There are a lot of variables that go into the barrel life question. For me barrel life for ELR is dictated primarily by the obvious (accuracy and velocity loss) but also BC degradation.
I understand all that was just curious. I shoot elr as well

Why do you think your "pushing" it.
With your elevation and a 9 twist, you in good shape with that bullet.
Even in cooler weather or lower elevation, it's over the 1.5 recommended stability.
And not over stabilizing it either.
Just make sure you get the freebore needed for that bullet.
Their are multiple reamers out for the 300 NMI

You will love it one of the best calibers I think. You will be fine with a 1-9 twist barrel. The only thing that I see as a negative is I developed donuts in my brass after a few firings just watch for those.

Donuts dont hurt anything unless your seating the bullet too deep which means your throated wrong or your pushing them out with a mandrel causing a pinch point in the chamber. If your throated right and your not using a madrel they are a non issue.
