Lots of room for improvement, but it was very predictable and consistent. I think I can get it there with just the tuner. I'll pick up where I left off when I can get back to it...soon I hope. Winds were a stout 15-20mph from 10 o'clock, but pretty steady for around here. The top left group shows some of the wind but the rest were all about a bullet hole of vertical. I think I can tune that out easily. We shall see.
The charge and tuner settings for all of these was the same..33.5 grains of LT30 with danzac coated 118 grain Hillbilly bullets seated .005" into the lands and the tuner left at zero. This charge is a comfortable pour but is a pretty full case, leaving room for about another grain, maybe a bit more with a slow enough pour. The powder metered well and was pretty clean at these pressures, which felt a tad soft but close. I'll use a chrony next time to get some numbers.
IME, I believe about 1 mark on one of my tuners will make the groups come together nicely. Again, we shall see...soon I hope. Certainly nothing to write home about yet, but I think it has potential. It's obviously out of tune at this charge and tuner setting but I'm encouraged with how predictable it was and confident I can get it dialed in pretty easily, especially if I can do it with the tuner alone. --Mike Ezell
