30-BR Loads

I have a 30 BR, I do not use it for serious competition only for myself. I have been using H4198, Why? everyone says too. Have been wondering and reading about reloads for a 30 BR but can not get any info.,only use H4198) Is there any others, powders) I can use? Is H322, RL-7 or Acc 2015 good to use and how do you know if a powder is right? Thanks for your help.

hi I use a 30br for deer, h4198 is good try 33.5g wirh 125g begers f.b.and 33g with 130 barns on the deer good luck with your reloads.

4198 is by far the most popular & easiest to get,i've tried n130 but it didn't shoot as good as the 4198,in the process of working up a load with tubal 2000 but it's almost impossible to find but i hear it works well,my advise is to keep working with the 4198 but buy it in the 8lb jugs because there's a lot of difference in the lot #'s

Bob, what bullet weight are you using?
What is the twist rate in your barrel?
All of the powders you mentioned will work..I use H322 with 110-118 grain match bullets...Use a chronograph and try to get your bullet speed to around 2950-2975 fps. Seating depth is best just at jam +- .005".
