30-06 tactical practical hunter??

Lots of 06 ammo still on the shelves.. tons of components...easier to find than 308 right now... anyone done this project yet? Project Mountain Thunder...
 
I'm working on mine now.

Thread on accurizing a 30-06. Starting with an off-the-shelf Weatherby Vanguard series 2. Great action for further mods.
R700 of course is easier.

PR&T has already trued the Remy action and threaded & chambered a new Brux tube. McMillan order for a Forest camo'ed A5 is two months old. A Timney 510 trigger, Badger M4 bottom metal and 20moa base are waiting in the wings. By April I should have my first 30-06!
