280 AI brass

I know that Norma and Nosler make 280 AI brass, I have some of each, I'm just starting this project and like to get some thoughts on fireforming brass from Lapua 30-06 brass. I know others have done this but the length of the 30-06 brass is .046 shorter than 280 brass. Is this a "real" problem? Anyone forming brass from 30-06 with good results. There are many really good sources for 30-06 brass.

i have fireformed lapua 06 brass using bullseye and cow, for my 280ai with good results. i have not noticed any less accuracy than the brass with the longer necks, you will want to turn your necks as they do end up rather thick(.0145)

Thanks for the info. What is the length of the fireformed case?

mine are 2.480", after full power loads
