30-06 Brass trimmer

I need some advice on who makes a brass trimmer for a 30-06 brass that is good and is reasonable price and also which kind would be better, a electronic one or a manual hand turn one. Thanks.

Frankly, I do not know of a single trimmer that does not work. I guess that in order to make an informed suggestion I would need to know how many cases you will be trimming at a time, and what kind of rifle you are loading for.

In benchrest, the Wilson trimmer is popular, and that is what I have used for years, for trimming all types of cases. Mine is a standard trimmer, without the micrometer. I am thinking of buying a stand for it. If I do, it will be one without a clamp for the case holder. For those on a budget, buying one, that is in good shape, off of Ebay might be a way to save some money. The cheapest trimmer is made by Lee. When I was starting out, I used one, and it worked fine.

Go with the standard Wilson, and do not look back! It will last you a lifetime and is the most accurate trimmer on the market.

I have and have used for years the RCBs power trimer with large volume 30-06, 22-250,222-221,and 45acp, it is fast and takes little effort to use.

never disapointed, works like a charm, very easy to use, very easy to set up and adjust to close spec,.

I started out with a Hornady, but it always seemed "sloppy". I tried a Wilson, and found out how easy it was to cut clean, straight, repeatable case mouths, and wondered why didn't someone tell me about this sooner? Get the stand and the "shark fin" too.
Warning - I don't know about the powered units. I am very tempted to buy one, but with my limited funds, this set-up is unbeatable.

I develpoped artheritus afew years back. I have a lot of trouble using a hand trimmer. I too bought an RCBS power trimmer.. Life is good now..

A: RCBS

A: Power. The RCBS Trim Pro Power Case Trimmer.

I recently bought one from MidwayUSA that was on sale, plus received a healthy rebate from RCBS that resulted in a net cost of $170. The best trimmer I've ever used. Fast and accurate. If you can't find a comparable price, call RCBS and ask about their "Seconds" with minor cosmetic blemishes that usually go for about Half Price.

I work for the parent Co. of rcbs and can get very good discounts, I have the power trim-pro and like most rcbs products it is build hell for stout but accuracy?? I think the little inexpensive Lee is much more accurate then any of the rcbs trimmers, the problem with the rcbs is the way it holds the case, I only use Wilson case trimmers anymore there very precise, if I ever buy another power trimmer it will be a Gracey or a Giraud, just my .02 worth.
