Hi guys,
Could you share some more info on the standard .284 win, please?
Things such as..:
bullet
load combinations
velocity
maybe with ES & SD also
barrel length-twist rate-contour
total weight of your scoped rifle
chamber's neck diameter & throat/free bore,
"ideal" die sets (FL dies-seater-proper bushings)
etc.
how about pics of your rifle?
I'm going with this cartridge for my "long range" shooting (=could be 1000yds, F-Open, or Flyshoot. LG class, but open to HG with weight).
Fall in love with this round after reading "cartridge guide" in this forum and contemplating with it. I think it's a "good compromise" cartridge for my purpose.
If these help :
Will use Berger VLD 180 or 168 gr.
Brass Lapua 6.5x284 neck up.
The smith has the reamer on its way, .319 neck, throat can be set at any length.
Action is Stolle Panda w/ .473 bolt face.
Will make the stock myself.
Thanks you & Best Regards,
seb.
