I did my ladder test yesterday on my .284 Shehane, trying to find a fireforming load that shoots well enough to compete with at 600. I am using H4831SC, Wolf primers, Lapua brass and 162 A-Maxes. I got a nice cloverleaf measuring .240 for three shots at 53.8, 54.0, and 54.2. The test was done at 200 yards. Anyone running this bullet and powder charge that can tell me their velocity? I will be chrono'ing when I shoot these charges for group. I'm just curious and impatient! My barrel is a Krieger, 28", 9 twist and the brass is new, unformed.
