Norseman said:I am very interested too. I am curious if this cartridge will clean up 7mm Remington Magnum chamber as well as the velocity shooting 168 grain Berger, I have a 1-10 twist barrel.
Please explain the steps to make this cartridge from 26 Nosler and/or 28 Nosler?
I really like long neck cartridges.
Thank you for generous time and research.
Should be no problem to clean up a 7RM chamber and chamber to 28 Yukon. As far as 168 velocity, I'm not sure, we've never messed around with the 168's. Maybe 3400ish??
I use standard 28 nosler dies to form this cartridge (dies that have had material shaved off the bottom to be able to bump shoulders back far enough).
1. Bump shoulders back with a FL standard die
2. Neck up to 28 cal if using 26 nosler brass with a tapered expander
3. Trim to a uniform length
4. Turn necks to .014"
5. Size neck to final dimension using a type S die and a .310" bushing
Load and shoot then giggle with excitement at the group on paper
