28 Nosler build advise

I'm looking to build a new hunting rifle. Looking for some recommendations. Any thoughts or suggestions?

1. PROOF Research carbon barrel
2. Defiance Ruckus action, GA Hunter
3. AG Composites - Alpine Hunter stock
4. Triggertech Special trigger
5. Seekins Precision rings
6. HS Precision bottom metal & DBM
7. Vortex Razor LHT 5-15X50 Scope
8. Area 419 Hellfire muzzle brake

What bullet do you plan to shoot? Reason I ask is I’ve got an almost identical build and throated for the 195 Berger the hs dbm is a little short I’d opt for the longest mag you can I’m down to single feeding after having to chase the lands a bit other then that sounds like a great build. The 28 is sure a sweet hunting round!

Great start! My 28 is nearly identical. ADG brass was a huge step up from Nosler. Wasn’t specified, but I’d assume an 8 twist on that proof pipe. I prefer a bdl setup as opposed to dbm for a hunting rig. TT special is great. I use 180 Berger vld/Retumbo at 3200 and 143 Hammer Hunters loafing along at 3500under h1000-Mild but accurate. Fun round! Find a load and stick to it. Wouldn’t burn up a barrel trying to wring out an extra 1/4moa.

I am phasing out my rifles with proof barrels. I have had some bad ones, and there isn't other great options once your stock is inletted for them. #4-#5 fluted steel for me. BDL should get you to 4" unless you are planning on shooting 180's. I would stick to the 175-184 grain bullets. A lot more to choose from, and some have better performance than 195's.
