Gun Build complete; Build experience

I just completed my 6.5 PRC PRS/Hunting rifle build. The concept of this build was to make a rifle that was first a hunting rifle and second something I could compete with. I chose the 6.5 PRC because,,,why not( I reload). Obviously it can/does and will kill anything in North America (except a Grizzly bear. I'll be working up a load based on the 127g Barnes LRX and the Nosler 150 ABLR for hunting and a Berger and ELDX Target. Load Testing starts tomorrow. This is a Defiance Ruckus GA XM, Proof 24" 1:7.5 Sendero, Hellfire Break, AG Composites stock, Zeiss Rings, Vortex Viper 5-25x50, and MDT 10r mags, Hawkins bottom metal.

I'll be modifying a MDT mag to a 5 round just to make it more field friendly. If I wasn't going to compete, it would be a Hawkins Hunter set up instead of the DBM.

I put this together on my bench. I will review the components once I get some shoot time on them...in the mean time I will say that I have never seen or handled such incredible components. Extreme quality, extreme tolerances, flawless execution... what a time to be a shooter!

The 127 LRX is all the bullet you need for hunting. If you have some I'd start with RL-26.

I'm not a green guy but my bud would sleep with that rifle.

Quick Range/Ladder report:
I did 2 separate Ladders with Retumbo and H4831. All @ .020 off. Also, break in barrel procedure. Every single load grouped @ -.50 !!!
I'm getting a good solid node @ 3000fps -+ w 58.5 Retumbo 127LRX. At 60g I was getting -+ 3100.
This thing is stupid accurate with the Ladder, lets see what happens when I load for hunting.
I'm good @ 3000 fps 127 LRX into .05. I will be trying some n568/r26 when I get some just to satisfy my curiosity.
I've NEVER shot a rifle like this in my life. It's far and away the most effortless rifle I've ever shot.

How solid does the magazine sit in the Hawkins XM bottom metal? I used the APA XM bottom metal on mine a couple years back and there is quite a bit of rattle. Specifically side to side play. It has never caused me any issue, but I would love to have a tighter fit.

Tap in some spring tip set screws. A few chassis have nylon tipped ones

The Hawkins and MDT AICS mag work hand and glove. No wiggling or movement. The MDT mag does protrude (as expected) a lot. I'd love it IF MDT or ? made a polymer 5 round for the XM length actions. Some have stated that the 6.5 PRC in a short action had issues feeding...in the XM action it feeds like butter.
