The 260AI sure didn't let me down, even in sustained 20mph winds all day. It definitely was me missing wind calls, but took it honors in F/open Master.
Those on the fence about this round, this was 1000y and its quite accurate!

Yesterday at 1000y with the 153.5. Square pasters are me. I kept adding elevation during the string, but it just stayed low. Added 3/8moa in the 15 shots for record, but didn't want to blow out the top by over correcting.
The X ring is 1/2 MOA diameter, at 1000y that's just over 5". I'm comfortable calling this a 3/4 moa group, 17 rounds at 1000 yards

With the 135s just pick any of the 140 class data you see on here and start there. Work up carefully, of course. I expect around 3000-3050 for 135s, say 45ish gr H4350. Use a stout charge from standard 260rem data for fire forming.
That's about where my 130 -135 gr. load/bullet combo works best @ a tad over 3000 FPS.

Easy with those bullets. I use 130smk to fire form. My old 26" barrel I shot 140VLDT at 2975fps. Shot great, too. Got me all the way to Master level scores.

I might go hit a little match with it, but if it prints tiny groups, and hammers a whitetail/MD/pig/Antelope, That'll fill my need. Thanks!
I think it will meet your needs with ease. Take your time and work up the load. Powder & charge, seat depth, neck tension, etc. will pay off nicely. I would advise stay with good brass & bullets.

I body size then use a Lee collet neck die. My body die is just a Redding FL bushing die with the bushing removed. Collet neck die is a standard 260rem version, works fine.

What benefit would that have over say, a FL bushing with the correct bushing in it? Purely curious

At the time I was testing different brands of brass, the collet neck die isn't affected by varying neck wall thickness and using a standard body die which is cheaper than a type-s bushing die. I later got the bushing die, but liked my results with the collet neck dies so just stuck with it.
Absolutely on both. Peterson and Starline have proven to be good for me. Sierra shoots really good in my rifle as well.
Yes F/L bushing die is my preference.
Have you run the srp with CCI #400's Or only the 450's? Any issue running the non magnum primers? Thanks, Matt
Sorry I have not tried other primers. It shot so well right out the gate wih just powder and seat depth test I did not bother.
