260 rem or 264lbc

A day which we will live in infamy
Well I have a chance at a 264 lbc upper complete. I already have the 260 rem in a bolt action. I just use the 260 for target and don't even shoot it to much. The lbc is a 18" lilja barrel 1-9 twist.
What's the survey? I'm looking at reloading info no on it to try and compare.

This discusses 6.5 Grendel vs 264 LBC chambers. They are so close as to be indistinguishable. http://www.65grendel.com/forum/showthread.php?1214-Grendel-or-264-lbc .

From there, you can compare 6.5 Grendel and 260 Remington. They are pretty different. Here is a link that'll get you started: http://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=3&f=121&t=290693 .

There is not much of a comparison between the two other than the caliber... With that short of a barrel the 260 rem is going to have a several hundred fps gain on any bullet you run in it. I have a 6.5 Grendel and love it for what it is. Its my short range hammer and midrange fun gun. I have a 6.5-284 for long range but have been considering a 260 AI. Its all in what your accuracy goals are and what you are looking to do with it. Matt

Just realized I put this in the wrong section. Feel free to move mods. I run 140s in my 260. It's a 28" barrel. I'm averaging 2880. It's not a hot load at all. The rifle weighs 17lbs. I'd likely just use the 264 for the same thing, steel or paper being that my hunting rifles have me covered
