260 at 600 yards

Try this for starters:

any 123 class bullet,
Federal 210 or 210M primer
H4831-SC, in the vicinity of 42-42.5 gr.
Starline or Remington brass. If you can't find either of those, run some 308 with plenty of your favorite lube through your 260 sizing die.

I've used this load as my practice load for 300M sling shooting for a few years. It works great. My preference is for Lapua 123's, but Noslers are what I started with and they work well. So do ELD-M's. This is a light recoiling target load. If you want to live alittle at 600 yards - try the Sierra 107 gr. 6.5 - it shoots pretty well too!

Good luck.

I’ve had good results with H-4831SC, 123SMKs, Starline .308W SRP, 205M & Lapua with 210M.

H-4350, 123SMKs, Lapua, Alpha & Peterson brass, 210M works equally well.

All loads were accurate to 600yds with all of the combinations.

I have never chronographed any of the loads however 9.5 MOA is needed to go from 200yds to 600yds using H-4831SC.

I want to get into a 260 maybe one day I will…..
My 260 AR10 was my first rifle I used for Highpower. Used it for course, mid range, and long range. Eventually I realized I needed a bolt gun for long range. However had that first 260 been a bolt gun and a repeater I'm not sure I would have gotten another rifle for HP accept a palma gun.

However I'm glad I did get more rifles...... :)
