257 WBY and 110gr Hornady ELD x

115gr Berger VLDs in .257 are expensive and not super easy to get. Anyone try hornady 110 gr ELDx out of their 257 WBY ?

I have had good luck with 115 bal tip and 7828 in 3 different 257'svs. deer/antelope size game out to 500+

at my store berger 115 $42.99 and hornady 110 $38.99! the different in how they shoot in my guns is worth way over $10 a box.

The 115 grain Ballistic Tip doesn’t give up too much to that Berger. I got similar accuracy but I did find that the Ballistic Tip was way more explosive on the deer that I shot with it.
What is your intended target and at what ranges?
Out to 400 - 500 yards you may be just as well off with a 100 grain bullet.

Well I didn't draw any tags . So just plain shooting out to 400-500 yds. How are Speer bullets, they're 120gr SPBT has a higher BC than Sierra bullets . But dang if I'm only just shooting maybe I'll try the Sierra 90gr green tip bullets.

I wouldn't hesitate to try the eldx. I have had exceptional accuracy with the 6.5 143 ELDX as well as the 88 (224) and 147ELDM.
