250gr bergers

i have been trying to get 250gr bergers to shoot in a ruger model 77 but to fit mag they have to jump .297 thousands to lands and they shoot all over the place! if I am lucky it might make 6in 3 shot group. I am using imr-4350. anybody have any luck making them shoot in a ruger?

.338 win mag 1in 10 twist.

you are right. I have always been able to get bergers to shoot great but not in a ruger!

To expand on what Wapiti said,you are also at the mercy of the factory magazine also due to the length of these bullets. I would suggest you try them in a "single shot" mode . you can find our hybrid seating depth testing information here :

Do your seating depth testing at the lowest powder charge listed for the bullet/powder/cartridge combination you are testing. Once the seating depth accuracy node is found. Work the load back up slowly checking for pressure signs and accuracy until your highest velocity accuracy node is found. You can find our .338 load data under the RELOADING tab on our home page. click on the cartridge you are loading for. Then on the next page click on the bullet weight to get to the data.
