I think I can remember Hornady rebated .30 boat tail bullets some 45 years ago but that might have been a different brand. But nobody shoots a .243 Win @ under 40K psi unless for yote pelts at close range. My guesses are that double base powders erode barrels more than single base. Double base Re17 might wear out barrels faster than other double base powders because of it's composition affecting pressure increments after ignition ?? - higher velocities with equal pressures but more erosion?
I plan to compare 4000 MR with H 100V.
