No! Nothing will make up for the amount of powder burned for a given bore size. The best you can do is get the longest barrel you can with out paying extra. Take 1.5 to 2 inches off the chamber end and 3/4 inch off the muzzle end when the group size opens beyond acceptable levels. First time shoot it in just blued second time after you see it still shoots nitride it or get the bore and chamber hard chromed. Competition barrels turn into varmint barrels this way for me.
