.22LR Pistol "Race Gun" -- How to Sell?

Steve K

I bought his 22 race gun from my friends estate, but my club has cancelled Action Pistol events. I got it about three years ago and never fired it in competition and probably never will. I've advertised it on several sites and not one inquiry. I understand there is a limited market for this type of pistol, but does anyone have any suggestions as to were a prospective audience may be?
I thought about Gun Broker, but I have never used the site and wonder how complicated it can be.

That appears to be a NRA Bianchi cup specific build. Brian Enos forum may get it some good exposure but you’re going to need to be a member with many relevant posts before they will allow you to use the classified section. If you know someone who is a member meeting the criteria they could help get it posted. Gun broker may work but I think the price will be kept low as many may see it more as a curiosity piece rather someone looking to put it to it’s designed use..

Sad that even back in the day when i was competing, equipment
was changing so fast, the only value was after parting things out.
One day, you had the latest and greatest, the next, you could'nt
give it away......Action pistol, IPSC, USPSA, died in my region.

I take from your initial post that the pistol is chambered for 22LR.
It appears this was set up to shoot barricade stages, aka the Bianchi Cup style setup.
I have no idea what a 22LR pistol built for Bianchi Cup may have been used for other than less expensive practice sessions.
In just what disciplines did your friend compete? That would give you a better idea of where and how to market the gun.

It’s definitely a Bianchi gun, and has all the good parts.

Enos forums is probably the best spot but if you aren’t active there or have so many posts you can’t post an ad. Gunbroker is decent but still limited to a few buyers. I have a buddy who has picked up a few Bianchi guns off there in the past few years.

CMP is/has brought back a 22 division for Bianchi and a few of the regional matches are running 22 events also, so there are probably new 22 shooters looking for a good gun.

PM sent for details.

Do you still know any of the local VA shooters? They may know someone looking too. There are a few out there still. It’s a bummer the Bedford matches appear to have died off. I had a blast out there when I made it to one of the regionals. Great range and folks to shoot with.
