What kind of speed?Gunsmith has built 5 or 6 for a bunch of us. FB of his reamer is .135. Shooting 88 Eldm and running a .250 neck on reamer so we re turning brass.
Very nice! Thanks for sharing. I have to ask about the barrel "tensioner. What contour is under the sleeve? Very cool!Boltfluter, Here’s a rifle picture and a cartridge and 88 gr Eldm picture. Not the best photos but yanked rifle out of safe and laid on reloading bench.
27” Lilja 3 groove 8 twist hidden under that sleeve/tensioner
Miky edge Game Hunter.
Don’t have any targets saved but if I do my part, which is getting tougher the older I get!, it ll shoot easy 3/8” groups at 100. We do most of our sighting in and target shooting at 300 yards and 1/2 MOA pretty normal if winds good.
Bulk of rifle use for LR Varmit shooting; marmots and some grd squirrels. Never played with numerous powders and bullets, just went with what was sitting around and it shot well enough for my intended use.
Fun cartridge.
I am running 3065ish depending on temps. This is out of a 30" barrel with a custom reamer that seats the beginning of boat tail at the neck juncture. I built it for PRS and can not actaully tell you what it is truly capable of for accuracy. I can tell you my benchmark is always 1" or better at 250yards, which was my zero when I was still shooting. This is an interesting new cartridge. What kind of speeds and accuracy are you guys seeing with the 88 Eldms? A few targets and rifle pics would be nice to see. Thanks guys.

As expected, my barrel seems to be speeding up a bit as I approach 200 rounds. Yesterday the 35gr load averaged 2930. Checked the numbers and it is flatter and has less drift than a 123gr Scenar at 2940, and is even more fun to shoot.I ve settled on 34.4 grs of IMR 4831 for 3030 fps. ( I have lots of imr4831 is why)
The gunsmith and other friend both using R23 at 35.5 grs and 3060 ish fps. Those were the nodes we found and we ran both powders up another 1.6 grs but better accuracy and ES, abs SD with lower charges.
As mentioned, we just get out larger cased 22 s if we ‘want more’.
Very nice! Thanks for sharing. I have to ask about the barrel "tensioner. What contour is under the sleeve? Very cool!

Paul, here is 2 22 GTs. A heavy & the light. I just put the light one together a couple of nights ago. Thank you for recommending Alex. I always thought he would be too busy. I mentioned your name. He’s got me on list for a 6 BRA & is also going through my action to make sure all is optimized.Very nice! Thanks for sharing. I have to ask about the barrel "tensioner. Paul, I built a heavy prs rig with a Hawkhill MTU 26”’ 7 twist using a reamer I had built on a reamer I had made from Alpha brass & 85.5 Bergers. It’s a tack driver & easy to load for. I had a lightweight varmit rifle built with a Bartlein cf m24 7.2 twist using an alpha .120 reamer. I get accuracy & precision with it, but find it is more finicky than my heavy built with my reamer. In hindsight on the lightweight I would have went 22 br. Sure was a pleasure talking to you. This is an interesting new cartridge.
