223 work

I got one of my 223 out, I did some development about 3 years ago just at 100 yards and now I have alot better range took it out to 300 yards and it shoot about 2.5" five shots, at 100 yards five shots is .177. So the question is what should a factory heavy barrel Remington 223 do at 300 yards? Load is Remington brass, 25.6gr 335, Remington 7.5 primer and a 55 gr. Nosler BT.

Add more powder or go to a hotter primer and seat the bullet on the lands.

N135 will make that 55g nosler come ALIVE!!!

Your twist should be 12, not 14. The 53 gr v max has a little better bc. Maybe that will help.

I will check! But I know all my older VS' s are 14, I have checked them.
