Hi, I’m looking for Tightgroup subsonic data. I tried 3.1 grains. This load was supersonic. I’m thinking of loading 2.9 grains which I googled. Anyone have a similar situation? I can’t get Clays or universal. Leaves Tightgroup which I am using. Any help would be appreciated.

Titegroup, Bullseye, and if willing and available TrailBoss.

The charge weight for Titegroup and Bullseye are very close,,, a couple of tenths of a grain different.

Really depends on your bullet weight, I think I was at 3.4gr of Trailboss for a 80ELD, same load with a 52gr was NOT subsonic.

I would not go below 3.1 (3.2)
the bullet may simply go part way down the bore and get stuck
I tested this once, trying to make Sub loads without a can decreasing load 1/10th grn at a time.
Once I got down to about 3.1 grns Titegroup, yes it was borderline supersonic but
sometimes a bullet didnt come out or would just barely spit out the end. (16" barrel)

I forget which bullet I was using, either 55 FMJ or 69 SMK, I likely tried both
