Hello,
I have a 12 twist 223 Ackley and am looking for a bullet that would be considered a consistent performer across the board. I’ve been shooting 52 grain A-maxes and they shoot well, just not very consistent. If I shoot a 10 shot group at 100 yards, roughly 6 of them will be in a cloverleaf hole and the remaining 4 will be scattered ¾†from the cloverleaf.
This is with Varget powder and a trued up Rem 700 with a Lilja barrel.
Any thoughts? I am not opposed to shooting a “match†bullet out of this thing for the long range shots and prairie dogs.
Thanks.
