222 wildcats?

In the days where remingtons were really competitive, there were SO many! A good start would be the .222 and 1/2. Remington even made these in the custom shop!! Everyone was trying to make a case that beat all others with the .222 then came the PPC, originally they were 224 bullets then they went to 6mm.
I'm sure there are people here that know the real history. They are just keeping quiet. Gary

what wildcats are based on the 222 rem and still 224 cal?
Most "wildcats" I've heard of based on 222 neck down; but keeping to the 22 caliber; there's the 22 Bobcat; basically an AI from what I can find. Not much to the body taper, but the 40* shoulder. There are those that say the 223 would benefit from more neck; but perhaps halfway to the 223 neck doesn't buy you a lot in 222 aside from less trimming. Short that's and keep to the 35-45gr and that could be an interesting sub 300y round.

Hard to argue with 20-222and Sierra 39gr blitz though.

Yep, 222.5 mentioned on page 80 of PS Benchrest Primer. Also there’s the 222 FBI 40*.

A 20-222 doesn’t meet the OP’s criteria.

How about the 22 TCM and the 5.7x28?
derivatives from 222.jpg
not exactly wildcats but can be made from 222 brass and maintain 22 caliber bullet
