The op was asking what wildcats were based on the 222 rem but were still.224 cal you know .223 .222remn mag probably more heck I dont know, I wouldn't know why you would want to change something as perfect as the long necked .222 that ruled the BR world for 30 years untill the advent of the ppc's then br's.
Wayne.
this round is not based on 222 rem either the only thing you can do to make a wildcat from 222 rem is lengthen or shorten neck change body taper or shoulder angle and still have it be in 224 cal.shortgrass said:.223 Ackley Improved. Not really a wildcat,, but,,,,,,,,,,,,,, a very easy to load for and accurate round.
I stand corrected, The .222 rem mag is parent cartridge for .223 and .222 is parent cartridge for 221 fireball. Just looked it up. I thought .222 was parent for .223, That is what I get for thinkingtreeman said:this round is not based on 222 rem either the only thing you can do to make a wildcat from 222 rem is lengthen or shorten neck change body taper or shoulder angle and still have it be in 224 cal.shortgrass said:.223 Ackley Improved.
