220 swift ackley need load for 75-77 Grain bullets

I have a 220 Ackley that I have worked up a good load to shoot 70 grain Burger VLD's very well like 1/2" groups at 200 yards. After working with this using 65 to 70 grain bullets I have noticed that the heavier bullets group better. It has a 1 in 9" twist on a 28" barrel. I have some 75 and 77 grain bullets that I would like to see what they will do. Most of the loading data for the Swift only go to 70 grain bullets. Just wondering if anyone out there that has worked up a load for the heavier bullets? I use this for long range ground hog and prairie dog hunting

http://reloadersnest.com/unverified_detail.asp?CaliberID=395&ID=4568 This is one load with 80 grainers and RL-19. I have a good friend i shoot with who has a .220 Ackley and he shoots 75-80 grain class bullets and IIRC he is using H4350. I believe there is a board member here who has a couple of fast twist .220 Ackleys and he will chime in if he sees this. Another powder to consider would be RL-17. I have a .220 Weatherby Rocket built on a 12 twist barrel and I am limited to around 65 grain bullets. In retrospect i wish i had built it with an 8 twist barrel to play with some 75 A-Max's. But it sure does zing 55 Noslers at a mild 4200 fps. ;D There are not alot of guys out there shooting the .220 Ackley in fast twist barrels, so experimentation is the rule of the day.

Frank, I thought I would put this Ackley together and give it a try. I like the challenge. Back in June when I got it back from the gunsmith we took it to South Dakota for some prairie dog hunting. Shot a bunch in the 500-800 yard range. We are hoping on going back out and giving them little furry critters another run from the lead. How many grains of H4350 were you using? The 5 days we spent out there hunting dogs were the greatest.

Nice target! Love the hyper velocity Swifts. I am not using the H4350 in my Rocket. The guy i shoot with i probably won't see him until late March at first match. His .220 Ackley is based on an 8 twist Krieger barrel 28 inches long with a suppressor all tied to a 700 action. Its nice shooting next to him as all you hear is a pzzzzt. ;D He has worked extensively with his .220 Ackley and its very potent. Got to watch barrel heat though.
