Yes, improving this case will make life easier at the reload bench down the road. And it is very capable of super accuracy.

Two main reasons I built this gun.

1. Cases stand up way better and last longer.

2. I can run a 75 A max at 3475fps without burning up the barrel very fast and am able to shoot downtown with great accuracy and fun. Im not trying to set records just have fun shooting a flat and fast 22 cal.

The swift has a lot of taper and not much shoulder angle. Actually....if there ever was a case that could use the Ackley treatment, it's the swift.

Old post, but the .220 Weatherby Rocket has a 33* shoulder and less body taper.

Both post and cartridge almost, "as old as dirt"! But hey, any version of the Swift is GREAT! RG
