I have a 22-250 and like them as well as anyone but to say they're "vastly superior" to the 220 Swift and actually mean it is just silliness. We can get Lapua brass for our 22-250's and the Swift folks can't, that's about the only thing superior it has going for it.

For True, but try a 22/250 Improved 40 degree shoulder against the legendary swift. It will push a 55gr bullet over 4,000fps with No Pressure.

The OP is looking for data with a 55 gr bullet. Is there any data pushing a bullet in a Swift over 4,000 fps with no pressure?

Swift AI is a real monster!

Standard swift with 55's with Win760 or H414, will get you in the 3950 fps area with a 26" barrel.

Seat the bullet about .003-.010 off the lands, and it will like what it likes.

I used Rem 9 1/2 with AA2700 also at 3900, accuracy was exceptional. I avoid 4064 at all cost after I toasted two barrels real quick on ground squirrels and jack rabbits.

re17 40.5 grains 60 gr vmax shot well in my douglas 1n12 twist barrel...it did shot 1 group of .108 bughole..then i cleaned it lol...what a dumbut I is..never cleaned it again and it came back to the .3s to .5s

I bought a few boxes of those 53 grain V-Max, but I have not tried them. I hear that they are really working well for some guys.

Prairie Dog shooters have bond with many fisherman. Their a legend in their own mind. Iv'e shot with a couple of men that used 220 Swift.It never showed me anything fantastic. Story of that great long shot but no proof of what the actual distance was.

Always have loved the bullets that come in the green boxes! The 55 grain BK again. Saved the lives of a few beans. The off side didn’t look as pretty on this large female.

I generally don’t like 4064 but had good luck with 55 grain Sierras. Start at 38 grains.
