Yes, settings were dialed in the quick session
Rifle
Speeds up to 5 thousand..

To be honest with you, I can't even get that little unit to take a firmware update with the app.

Kind of wondering right now, what the hell is going on

I took my little suppressed, twenty two Ruger pistol and fired a couple rounds
Over top of it that I didn't have on film and it was hit and miss with that.As well
I don't believe your getting 5000 fps out of that cartridge. A 1 - 7 twist will tear them bullets apart.

OK Merry Xmas chaps ... Today I had a few minutes and my brother and I created a variable die
it sizes both cartridges the 22 Royale and the 204 DRT ,,,formerly known as the slingshot

We made an extended bushing in .250" for the 22 cal and use a Redding .233' for the 20 cal
turned out to be a gem.

Tomorrow I hope momma leaves me alone to do some shooting for an hour will chrony some test loads

getting up early to run down and get the remington bolt handle turned down to 5/16" and an area 419
knob screwed on line my Kaugers .

It looks to me as the 204 DRT is a 22-250 AI necked down to a 20 caliber or a 22 Creedmoor AI necked down to 20 caliber.
They have a wider web and a 42 degree shoulder as opposed to all Ackley cases utilizing a 40 degree shoulder
other than that. yes you are correct.

Did you ever get a muzzle velocity yet
Today Amigo ......I am gonna run down to my brothers shop and install the area 419 bolt knob on that new bolt I procured.

I can't stand to use a standard bolt from Remington...

Then Im gonna do some testing from the bedroom out the back door today.
I can run back and forth to the loading bench and tweak things .

Once I get an established load that I favor .
I'll go across the street to my favorite field and set up some boards to stretch out
and use my new cameras ...Long Shot and Ranger plus.

The new die allows me to shoulder bump fresh 22 250 brass and size the neck
I then follow up with a run through the 204 Ruger mandrel for proper neck sizing

here is a pic of the 20 DRT brass after loading from fresh virgin brass

L side is neck formed without my new die ,,shoulder is untouched
it will not close the bolt on that .

next is shoulder bumped and neck sized ...
next is fireformed case
then a 22 Creed for comparison

Wow what an Incredible privilege it is to be able to shoot in your own back yard.

My wife tolerates it (shooting from the bedroom) but today she called me out to the backyard and told me a chicken ate a spent 22 rimfire case ...LOL she was pissed..

I told her it wasn't the first time and won't be the last
plenty of farmyards have 22 cases on the ground and if a chicken is dumb enough to swallow it , then she can shit it out ...

I received my batch of Hornady 69 Gr ELD VT and started to play with them as the wife let me off my man leash for an hour this morning .

I played with some loads to fire form some cases but currently Im waiting for 2 Redding decapping pin assemblies to arrive so I can knock the primers from these newly formed cases as they do NOT fit in a 22 creedmor die and I have no rod yet for my new neck bushing die .

So the results with the fire formed cases with Superformance at a gr lower than max load at 44 Gr
I started with 43 gr and achieved an average of 3450 fps with 5 shots
I loaded one case with 44 .5 gr superformance and saw 3660 fps in a virgin unfired case.

I then turned to the AA Power Pro 2000 MR and stuffed her with 42 grains with the 69 Gr ELD Vt and got
3658 in a standard case .
I know I can safely jump her up to 43.5 gr in my FF cases and expect to see 3750 fps
I am pretty sure that load with the BC of G1 ,424 @ 3750 should be a laser by anybody's expectations.

I expect tight groups .
