22 Creedmoor Powder advice

Thankyou @White Eagle @nmkid , sadly a lot of the powders available to you guys aren't available over here . So we end up using a so called equivalent . I've used RS62 as a 4350 replacement with good results in 270, 243 ,6.5 CM and my 6XC , it's quite primer picky as powders go . Availability is a little sporadic and prices here are spiralling , so it's important to make wise choices from the off .

If you cannot get 4350
AA-2700 is very close (like 1 grain faster)
You might try
............4831
& Reloder 22 with the heaviest of the heavies

For your requirements, N165 cool burning and if you are only looking for 32-3300fps will be easily achieved.

Any of the viht powders will get you there though ranging from N550-N565.

I am UK based also so PM if you’d like.

N165 previous experience of this powder gave excellent results in the 243 with a full case .

Would you mind sharing your results , not really looking for load data , ES's and groups ?

Thanks guys , the 22 Creedmoor isn't a widely shot cartridge over here . So your help is very much appreciated.
It's good to see VV powders giving decent accuracy, as that is available locally.

@smschulz , why the angry emoji ?
Sorry, it was an accident, tried to delete it. Kind of like a butt-dial on a phone, didn't mean to. My bad.

Reloader 26 is the cream of the crop but nearly impossible to get your hands on. I've used 4350 and found it pressured out before it made it to the top accuracy node. VV N-160 will work but it is right on the edge of pressure to get to the node. I think you will find that N-150 is too fast. Which leaves the absolute twin to RL26 and that is VV N-560. 550 is a stellar performer with regards to velocity and accuracy. I have several jugs of it for that reason.
RL26 in these Creedmoor, 243 Win, or other similar size cases tends to be the top performer but like STS mentioned it is nearly unobtainable and if you do find any you better be prepared to sell a kidney or one of your kids and pay a ridiculous price because I've seen some outrageous asking prices for it.

I use more RL26 then all other powders combined in the things I load for one of which is a 22-243 Improved 35° version. I shoot the ELD-M 80's from an 8tw Krieger at 3650 and it stacks them up in nice little size groups.

I've never compared RL26 to Viht N560 but if it performs as well and is more available then it would certainly be worth trying.

You should try that one at 1000 yds ;)
Fun as heck when there's not much wind (10mph max)
My 220 Swift AI throws Berger 85.5's at 3650 so I know what ya mean. (Re-22 is my powder for it)
800 yd shots are like no big thing for these 2 hotrod rounds

I had a typo in my post that suggested that I have several jugs of N-550. That should read N-560. I wouldn't want someone buying a bunch of 550 based on my typing mistake. N-560 is a REALLY good sub for RL-26.

Thanks for the "heads up" , I'm going to start with RS62 as Ive data and if the results on target are poor look at N165 or N560 .
There's absolutely no point in starting load development with any Alliant powders , there's none coming into the country at present . H4350 and the like aren't available due to them failing to conform with REACH , can be a little frustrating.
