Boy you guys are the best!
I've got a sling from "Sloan's" it's rubber and at the show the vendor just separated the sling and used both shoulders. I' going to try it because both of those rifles shoot very well with Sierra 52 grain pills.
So nice to ask a question and not get pushed off because I'm an old guy.
If anyone cares to add anything, please free.

Carry the heavier guns... Until you don't feel like carrying them anymore...
Then grab the little Tikka 22-250

Agree with This,.. ^^^ Keep One of the Heavy Barreled Rifles for, PD's and Sage Rats and Use, a Lighter .22-250 for Yotes, AS they are much Bigger Targets and 400 yards is still, pretty CLOSE ( One MOA Accuracy is,.. Plenty, IMO ). Gettin' the Lil Buggers to STOP,.. is, the Big "Trick" !
A Sub one MOA, 7.5 to 8 Pound, .22-250 Rem., Tikka is,.. Money for, Yotes and for, an Old Guy, to carry !

I use a sporter 700 Remington in .22-250 for walking.

My solution a 700 LVS in 17 Remington, or a custom 700 with the action squared, trued, milled to remove weight, PTG skeleton bolt, bedded factory stock with CA 25" carbon fiber barrel. Both exceedingly accurate and a pleasure to carry.
