22-250 VSSF II

Folks,
I spent some time figuring out a good accurate load for this rifle.
It definitely prefers 52 grain Sierras. I've used them with H380 and Varget and got 5 shots all touching, at 100 yards benched. I was hoping to put a thermal on it and coyote but it's a little too heavy to carry even without the 2+ pound thermal.
What I'm hoping to do is use it in the daylight where I can get in before sunrise with my tripod.
What's your thoughts on this idea? Has anyone used a VLS or VSSF like this?
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
Have a nice weekend.

Its still going to be heavy in the daylight. I know what you mean about weight, at 76 I have tried to cut not only lbs but ounces also. I have been thinking about building a lite weight setup but everything seems to be a tradeoff

I’ll bet that Tikka 22-250 that you have is a heck of a lot lighter than that VSSF ! ;)
Find a load that the Tikka likes.
Good shooting

Hey Gary,
You bet it's a ton lighter. I've got a load with 70 grain Nosler's that's really accurate.
I wouldn't think of carrying either Remington. But on a farm in NJ, I can ride my ATV to a hedgerow and no carrying.
