.22 100 yard accuracy ?

Well, I don't know him personally but here are his credentials. I myself don't shoot that discipline, but IMO it is the hardest to developed and be good at.

I'm an old (but not as old as Kevin) prone and 3-position competitor with about 40 years of trigger time. Slowly converting over to F-SBR and maybe even trying a BR match this year.....tryin to give back as much to the sport as possible and share some knowledge.

Apologies as I may have misunderstood the OP and my subsequent posting(s). Read, but did not fully process the types of rifles used by the OP and methods used.

My info and short sighted posts were just on the 100 yd accuracy side. The target was shot from the shoulder, but from the prone position w/ a sling.

I did - in my past - shoot 3-P very successfully at the national level. Never shot 100 yd offhand during that period as it was not a type of competition fired, however it is certainly interesting.....
Thanks for the details on the targets.
Just trying to figure out if you were confused, or I had my head in my butt. Too often it's the latter.

Can I only count the five I want or do I have to use all 20 lol.

Kimber 82 iron sights shot blind from a sling. A 2" group but with some smaller ones in there. I have a AR-22 rimfire with a 20" Green Mountain barrel that is consistently a 1.5" shooter for a sling at 100 cleaning the MR-31 Highpower targets

A good rifle in the proper condition should shoot 1/2” at 100 or a bit better. On an average. I’ve shot a lot of 1/4” groups at 100 and I’ve also shot a lot of 1” groups at 100. The wind is the major factor.

When you guys list these group sizes at 100 yards, are they given as center to center, or outside to outside like the testing centers provide for 50 meter testing?

That's interesting I always thought that they gave center to center measurements.

I was shoting at 50yds and thought I'd take a stab at 100yds. Trucked a reactive target down, came back and shot 10rds to zero the scope and warm up the barrel. Then I shot one 5rd group each of TAC 22 and SK Pistol Match. Said good enough and went home. Savage Mark II FV, with Sweet 22 4-12x40AO scope.

I had wondered how those savage rifles shot. it looks like pretty darn accurate. Thanks for posting the targets

I’m currently shooting a CZ 457 MTR with Center X Tested at Lapua’s Ohio test center. When I shoot a 1” group at 100 I’m pretty happy. My next .22 will not be a CZ.

This was at 50yds from that day in Dec. I now have a Riton 6-24x50mm mounted that I'm anxious to try. Might actually be able to see the 1/2" dot now.

Out again today and I'm ready for above freezing temperatures!
Groups were similar to the last targets posted with the Time BR rifle. Its annoying being bundled up like nanook and having ice cube hands fumbling and dropping stuff.
The surprise was my 457 American. With "cheap" Eley Contact it was well under .5 at 50 yards and at 100 the two 10 shot groups were right at 1".20220130_195500.jpg

Not too long ago I shot my 1964 Rem 40X in a Mini-Palma at 100 yards in the FTR class which means off of a BIPOD. 450-45X is max possible. I shot a 450-32X and finished third or fourth....with all shots in the 10 ring and 32 of them in the X ring using SK Pistol Match ammo...:p! X ring is just under 3/4" and the 10 ring is HUGE at about a tad under 1 3/4"
