204 brass problem

I resized 20 R-P cases, no issue.
This maybe going way out into the weeds bit it might be possible an over amount of the spray lube is causing hydraulic lockup and creating the damaged necks. Do you have a wax-type lube? If not, contact Creedmoor Sports. The have little "their brand" sample wax packs they've been sending out with orders. Explain your situation and see if they can send you one to sample and maybe change your lube direction. Any lube should be used very sparingly. Metering a spray is sometimes inconsistent.

When I get time, I'll polish up the expander ball on my die. Where can a guy purchase the non expanding decapping pin holder?

In my opinion, For whatever reason, the necks are extremely brittle and hard. I would not fire them until they have been annealed and I would definitely contact the seller/manufacturer for warranty replacement. I doubt it has anything to do with the dies.

Should I anneal the rest of my batch before I resize them?

I form and reload a lot of wildcat cartridges . Annealing is a regular step for me. I would Anneal any or all of what you have left. But that's me. Also, you can do a squishy test on the bad pieces of brass. And Anneal some bad pieces for the purpose of squeezing with a pair of plyers . You have plenty to practice with, so you should get a feel for hardness and softness. Ah, The joys of reloading

This morning, I polished the expander ball up on my 204 die. The knuring was pretty rough. I resized another batch of 50 cases, all dog town had stamp and only 3 had a issue. I think I'm getting it narrowed down.
