little help with 204 ruger brass please

After finding a good load for my 204 I loaded up 50pcs of virgin win brass. Well after shooting them all I deprimed and cleaned and 90% of them have split necks >:( I know for sure the chamber in this thing is excellent so I think it was just over hard brass or something. Usually I anneal them right out of the bag but I got lazy this time. Anyhow, I have 300 pcs of once fired hornady brass ( no split necks) and was curious how the hornady brass stacks up against the winchester. They weigh ALOT more than winchester thats for sure, havent checked the capacity yet though. Has anyone had good luck with hornady brass out of their 204r?? Thanks

Funny, I started with Hornady brass, had split necks right away and changed to Winchester. Go figure...
Not sure what to say, perhaps I should anneal soon!

And I've necked up a pile of W-W 204's to 22 caliber, and have never split a neck....

I bought 1,000 pcs of WW 204 Ruger brass last year and returned 500 of them because of double punched egg shaped primer flash holes.

Midsouth has Norma Brass on sale for 55$ per 100 pcs. It's worth it to me. Next best is Nosler or Hornady.

my 2 cents..

I got her straightened out. When I looked closely at some of the new brass it was already split from the factory. Just a bad batch, no big thing!
