2024 NBRSA Score Nationals

There is a clarification I want to make on my rifle. When I filled out my registration, i did not have my new rifle built. Since then I finished it, and brought it to the Nationals.

My new rifle was a BAT B melonited drop port in a new 3D printed stock by @Jim Nicolas and hydrodipped by Liquid Concepts in Arkansas. The barrel work was done by @LONGRIFLES and the tuner was made by PMA. The scope was still a Valdada 36

The load was 35.0 of N130 and a @jcline 108 bullet running 3050 fps.
Great shooting Wes! A 108 grain bullet? LOL

Thursday was the first day of Hunter competition as we shot 100 yards today. The day was a beautiful day with nice temperatures and a light but tricky breeze. If you did not pay attention, the reverses would make you pay the penalty.
When all the targets were done, Mike Bigelow was first with a 250-16. Second was Matthew Mosteller with another 250-16. Third was Randy Robinett with another 250-16. Fourth was Mike Toby with 250-15. Wes Johnson rounded out the top five with a 250-13.
Congratulations to all you winners.
Tomorrow we conclude with the Hunter 200 yard match.

Day 4 Hunter at 200 yards. Conditions got a bit testy at the end. At least where I was setting.
A very nice day of shooting by Kevin Mielke, Ron Teselle, Jason Stanley and Mike Bryant.
Full results are attached below. Maybe someone can post as a picture as I cannot while riding down the roade. Thankfully Sandy is driving.

Thanks to each and every competitor who showed up and shot in 2024. You are all winners in my view as you all finished far ahead of those who were not present. Our thoughts also go out to those who could not attend for various health and personal reasons.
Your attendance and support is truly appreciated. Hope to see all of you again somewhere in 2025.

Gabe Matheny contributed a Hunter style stock and Brett Childress of BC'Z fame laid down a most impressive paint job on it and they donated it to the cause for our shoot. We used this stock as a raffle item to bring in money for the shoot target crew. Between the tip jar and the stock raffle, we raised $1712.00 for the target crew. I did not keep the tip jar money separate but it might have had $300 or $400 in it. So the stock took in between $1,300 and $1,400 in the raffle. A fabulous sum.
Brett, Thank both you and Gabe from the bottom of our hearts for your support of this event. Please convey our sincerest thanks to Gabe if you will.

And thanks to each and every person who bought tickets or fed the tip jar. You all were generous to a fault.

By the way the stock was won by Ed Bernabeo from the Houston, Texas area. Ed, you are now going to have to use the stock and put together a nice Hunter rig and start shooting Hunter as well as VFS.
