Last Friday, the management team for the Louisiana F-Class Long Range Championship made the decision to continue with the plans of having this match this coming weekend. Those decisions were based on CDC recommendations of limiting groups/gatherings to 250 people. The governor of Louisiana declared a emergency public health directive and his resolutions mirrored the CDC recommendations at the time. Last night, it was brought to our attention that yesterday the CDC revised their recommendations to limiting groups/gatherings to 50 people. Although the governor hasn't revised his resolutions yet, we feel quite sure that he will either today or tomorrow. That means that we might break the law if we continue with our plans of having the match this coming weekend. I, for one, don't want to be made an example of.

So, we are suspending the Louisiana F-Class Long Range Championship until September 18-20, 2020. We apologize to any and all of you who will be inconvenienced by this action. If you are on the active roster, we will hold that spot for you unless you tell us otherwise. If that weekend will not work for you, please let us know and we will refund your entry fee 100%. If you had previously canceled, either the active roster or the waiting list, let us know if you want to maintain a position on the waiting list to get back into the contest. Otherwise, you will be getting your refund in the near future.

Again, we apologize for this inconvenience.

I was expecting this after the CDC revised its guidance this am. It is good that the 2020 F-class Nats are in late October this year; the new dates will not conflict with the plans of those wanting to compete in both.

I just wish it was some other weekend in Sept. That's Rocky Mt Palma and Santa Fe LR in Raton. So the choice is, go to Shreveport and bake what little brains I have left or go to Raton and enjoy the weather..... didn't take long to make my mind up on that one.

Don't worry Dean, it's not hot and humid here in September.......:p:D

Thanks, I'd like to maintain a position.

Skip, could they still hold the monthly 1000 yard match this Saturday? We never have over 50 people for that.
Jade, Robin, the prez just said on national tv that they are now going to suggest limiting group/gatherings to 10. If they do that, then there won't be a monthly match on Saturday. It is still at 50 on the CDC site, but it will probably go down. If he said it, it must be true......
